But it's not really an either/or thing, is it? The idea underlying shock therapy is that the 'target' populations are so shocked that they unlearn how to resist the new, neoliberal policies that are imposed. Yeah, this quote’s great, as is your take on it. But it’s not really an either/or thing, is it?
