The line &quot;people’s curiosity seemed stronger than their fear&quot; is definitely going to make it into something we write. The passage does need unpicking at some point. I’ve been thinking a bit about “fear of the masses” versus “love of the masses” recently. How they are flipsides of each other, both implying that the masses are naturally occurring rather than constructed.</description>
